First, go to http://whatismyipaddress.com/
It will probably tell you your location. I’m assuming you want to change this so you appear to be somewhere else like another country.
Now go to http://www.proxynova.com/
Pick which country you want to get your proxy from.
I chose the UK because I wanted to access the BBC iPlayer.
See where it says Proxy IP and Proxy Port? Pick one of the rows and either copy the IP and Port number, or write it down. Just make sure you have it for the next step.
Now go to your options in your web browser. It may be your settings but I use Firefox so it looks like this to me.
Go to Settings in the Connection box.
Click Manual Proxy configuration. In HTTP Proxy, input that IP you write down from before, and do the same for the Port. Check the Use this proxy for all protocols box. Click OK.
Now you should be able to go back to http://whatismyipaddress.com/
and your location will reflect your proxy. It may take awhile for it to load. Occasionally the proxy won’t work, so just repeat the steps above with another IP and Port.
